Kohala Coast

The Kohala Coast is located on the north west area of the island. Known as the Gold Coast, it has over 350 days of sunshine a year and about 5 inches of rain, less then half the rain of San Diego. Great weather is guaranteed. The only dryer place in all in the entire United States is Death Valley, California. It has the best weather in all of the Ha- waiian Islands. In fact, with low rainfall, sunny days, low humidity, and gentle breezes, the weather is considered the finest in all of the United States. It is endless summer the year round, only varying a few degrees. The average low is 74 degrees and the average high is 86 degrees. The water temperature varies from 74 degrees to 82 degrees mak- ing for comfortable swimming and snorkeling all year. The best beaches,several world class golf courses, and numerous activities are located here. Also, all the major resorts are located in this area, the finest area of all Hawaii. Fortunately, it is not overcrowded like Oahu or Maui.
