Anaeho’omalu Bay Beach is a 7 minute walk from the complex, with catarmarans and snorkel rentals, sunset cruises, lined with palm trees and great sunsets. Snorkeling is good in the early mornings. Also a favorite place to launch outrigger canoes.
Honeymoon Beach is located a half mile south from Anaeho’omalu Bay beach. Walking south from Anaeho’omalu Bay, just past the trail through the trees at the waters edge, this secluded beach is a favorite. Plenty of turtles along the way. A favorite place for wind surfers.
Mauna Kea Beach, 7 miles north of Waikoloa is considered the most beautiful classic crescent shaped beach in all of the Hawaiian Islands. With fine white sand beaches, gentle waves,and a bar and restrooms, this is an all time favorite.
Hapuna Beach, located 6 miles north of Waikoloa is a long white sand beach with strong waves ideal for body boarding. This beach is also rated near the top of all the beaches in Hawaii. It can be a bit crowded during holidays and weekends as locals from the east part of the island come here.
Orchid Lagoon Beach located 3 miles north of Waikoloa, is a small quaint little lagoon beach at the Orchid hotel. The waters are very calm and ideal for families with young children. plenty of turtles here.
Mauna Lani Beach is located 3 miles north of Waikoloa at the Mauna Lani Hotel and a bit rocky but still quite nice. Nice sunsets are here.
Owners Club Beach located 3 miles north of Waikoloa is a 10 minute walk south from the Mauna Lani Beach. The walk is stunning along the lagoons and this beach with beautiful white sand has some of the very best snorkeling with great colorful coral and numerous fish. The water is very calm here and the walk from Mauna Lani Beach is highly recommended.
69 Black Sands Beach is located 3 miles north of Waikoloa south of Owners Club Beach. The snorkeling here, especially on the left side is excellent with an abundance of fish. When you enter the Mauna Lani Resort, take the third road on the roundabout and look for a gate with a small sign on the street to enter.
Kukio Beach located about 10 miles south of Waikoloa, is in the private community of billionaires, including, Michael Dell, Bill Gates, Paul Allen, etc. Take the first right south after the sIgn to the Hualalai Four Seasons Resort and ask for a pass at the gate. The setting here is very beautiful here and romantic.
Kua Bay Beach located about 11 miles south of Waikoloa, is a about a mile south of the Hualalai Four Seasons Resort. Turn right at the top of the hill and you will drive down to one of the most beautiful small beaches with great surf action, excellent for body board- ing. The surf can be very strong here, especially in winter.
